Wednesday Opportunities
CLC
Christian Life Club, or CLC as it is commonly called, is an activity based midweek opportunity for children ages 3 through 5th grade on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:15 PM. CLC begins the first Wednesday in September and continues through the first week in May. We design our own program using a variety of materials and curriculum with the goal of reaching kids who attend regularly, as well as those who are newcomers.
Our Goals
We want the children to “see Jesus” in the adults and in their classmates as they are involved in a wide variety of activities. We aim to build fellowship as we treasure the children in each class, build in times for kids to talk to one another, get to know each other, and make friendships that will last.
What We Do
We praise God through singing and music and enjoy a Bible lesson in Chapel time each evening. Miss Tammy leads the preschool chapel and Miss Marva leads the elementary chapel. Children then go to their age level classes for activities, games, and a snack.
Missions Month
The end of September through October is always our time to focus on missions for children in grades 1 - 5. We learn about various mission fields for four weeks, and then participate in an exciting church-wide Missions Festival. The elementary classes each present a booth at the festival about the particular mission field they have studied the past month. It is a very exciting time and children learn about reaching the nations in the Spirit's power in a hands-on, inviting, kid-friendly way.
Harvest Party
The last Wednesday in October is our Harvest Party. Our Harvest Party is a fun alternative to traditional Halloween activities. Instead of trick-or-treating, we will gather in a safe environment for some autumn fun, free of any pagan overtones. We celebrate the fall season with godly fun and games, along with a great Bible lesson and treats!
