                                                    ADULT CHOIR

Thanks to the Choir for their ministry during the 2007-08 ministry season.  Enjoy your summer!  We will be looking forward to beginning Choir rehearsals and sharing times in September.

The choir is a vital instrument that God has touched to minister to the congregation of our church.

Our role is two-fold:

  • To assist and lead the congregation in corporate worship through the singing of hymns, gospel songs, and choruses.
  • To share anthems and seasonal music intended to inspire, to challenge, to encourage, and to reinforce our worship as believers in Jesus Christ.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ADULT CHOIR…

When is the Choir season?

The choir season is September through May.
We also share in leading worship for the Yearly Meeting
Sunday services on one Sunday in the month of July.

When can I join?

The best time to join the choir is in September or January as
the choir begins learning the music for Christmas and for the

            spring musical.

How can I join?

Contact Pastor Phil DiSabatino at 330-966-2800.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
There are extra rehearsals on occasional Saturday mornings
for Christmas and the spring musical.

Do I have to have a solo voice?

No, however, it is important to have a good ear and the ability
to sing your part: soprano, alto, tenor, or bass.

What if I don’t know what part I sing?

Pastor Phil will be able to assist you in finding what part would
            be best for you.

Do I need to have the ability to read music?

No, about half of our choir members do not read music. Quite a few
do and serve as leaders.  The ability to read music will come with practice.
