About Our Children's Ministry
"Children are Treasured at First Friends" is more than a philosophy statement. We make it a part of all we do in our children's Christian education. In our ministry to children we strive to:
- meet children at their level of development
- teach them the love of Christ and the joy of His forgiveness and salvation
- help them learn the truth of His Word
- encourage their growth within the body of believers
Our Vision for Children is that they will know Christ, understand His Word, grow in their own spiritual walk and be able to share the love of Christ with others.
"People were bringing little children to Jesus to have Him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, He was indignant. He said to them, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.' And He took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them."
