But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great JOY that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11
What steals your joy? Why is it so hard to hold on to joy?
Webster defines joy as "the emotion of delight, happiness, and gladness". The Bible talks a lot about joy, and the Christmas story focuses on the source of our joy as Christians. Joy is ultimately one of the greatest gifts God gives us in Jesus, our Savior.
This month, we will be focusing on how we can "Be joyful in all circumstances" 1 Thessalonians 5:16 and "Rejoice in the Lord" Philippians 4:4. I hope you will join us on Sunday mornings for this important study. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 "Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
