Draw Near
Though we often take it for granted, each Christian has been invited to draw near to God—to come closer and closer to the Almighty Creator of the universe who is the definition of love. Drawing near to God sounds like a good thing, but the practicality—the HOW—can be difficult for many to understand. Others may not even have a desire to come closer to God, despite His invitation. In this sermon series we will examine what it means to draw near to God and some steps we can take to do so.
Hope Has A Name
Our theme for this Advent and Christmas season is “Hope Has a Name.” The concept of hope is consistently associated with this time of year, and yet we often fail to recognize that it is not simply a concept – it is a person.The hope of the Christian life is centered in the work and person of Jesus Christ, who was born into this world to bring redemption to anyone who would believe in Him. Over the next weeks we will explore the implications of a personal, living hope, along with four names Scripture gives to Jesus that illustrate Him as our Hope.
