Guest speaker Heidi Matson: Heidi is a sought after speaker, pastor, author, and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Southern California. As a trained mental health professional, Heidi brings a fresh approach to integrating the difficult struggles of everyday life with a faith-based lens. With the experience that accompanies her career in both mental health and church leadership, Heidi is passionate about helping others find healing and hope, even as they face their own brokenness. In this unique perspective, Heidi believes that honesty is a vital marker of true relationship and authentic faith. In addition to being a respected public figure, Heidi is also a mom, mother-in-law, and ‘Gigi'; which are by far her favorite roles.

Upside Down
From a human perspective, every thing about the gospel is the opposite of what it should be. The first become the last and the last become the first. A king sacrifices himself for his people, rather than demanding that his subjects die to advance his purposes. Those who try to save their lives will lose them, while those who lose their lives for the sake of the King will save them. This Holy Week, we remember and celebrate the upside down Kingdom of God, in which broken, sinful, spiritually dead people are given new life through the cross of Jesus.
